About us and our passion for perfection
I am Laszlo Izso and I am the founder of the Classic Mechanic restoration business. I am a qualified Vehicle Technician with over 20 years experience working with modern, classic, and vintage cars. I am originally from Hungary and I lived in the UK with my wife and family for around 9 years before returning to Hungary in 2019. I served my apprenticeship working for a car restoration workshop for many years where I had the pleasure of fully restoring and rebuilding cars including a 1936 Vauxhall, several early VW Beetle models, a Jensen Interceptor, a De Lorean, a Rolls Royce, a Toyota Land Cruiser, a BMW E30 and even a Multicar Fire Engine.
The Classic Mechanic business has transferred its workshop to Hungary but we still have a UK administration in Macclesfield that is run by my business partner Simon Spurrell. Customers in the UK can benefit from the very highest quality of full nut and bolt or partial restoration for less cost and a better quality than the UK equivalent. Simon is a Jaguar XJ-S expert and published author and classic car collector and he organises the inspection and assessment of your vehicle before it is transported, fully insured to our Hungarian workshop. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and authentic quality of restoration and repair work on any make or model of classic and vintage car. We are trustworthy, honest, professionals, dedicated to repairing and restoring your car properly and in a transparent and timely manner. Please note we only choose three project cars per year to focus our exceptional detail of restoration on. Our promise is our bond and we will work with you and keep you fully informed of all progress and associated costs on a daily or weekly basis. Classic and vintage cars are my passion and as you can see by my gallery my work speaks for itself. Contact The Classic Mechanic for a free consultation. |
