I fitted nearly everything on the car,the engine running fine,gearbox working well,breaks are perfect,first test drive was ok.
I have to tell something about the gearbox. The gearbox housing is original,but everything inside of it is modified by an engineer. It is a 5 speed gearbox + reverse,he modified the ratios and he made it for a race,it means we don't have to use the clutch to change gears. The sign writer arrived with plenty of stickers and put them on the car,to give it a better look.

I finished to work on the body,but a lot more other bits waiting for me to get them ready to fit in the car... The 2.5L engine needed some work...resprayed the block,cleaned all bits for it,resprayed the rocker cover,replaced water pump,etc...: Lots of bits waiting for refit them on the engine and suspension as well... The paintwork made by me (The Mechanic)
We visited a workshop where the guys doing the bodywork....they are getting there.. :) My friend is dreaming about to drive it.... :D They do a professional job on it....it couldn't be in better hands.... While they worked on the body ,I started to work on the suspension,and some other bits Front axle: Rear axle: Two weeks after our visit in the workshop where they've been working on the body,my friend had a phone call. The boss called him saying the job is done we can pick up the body and the chassis and take it away... Some balance weight required.... :D Put it back on the ramp in our workshop....i have to work on it a bit more before we take it to the bodyshop to do the paintwork... Continue soon... |
