I've got a Sunbeam Rapier (1958) in the workshop. She is arrived on the recovery truck, cause she is not running, and my job is to get her back on the road. She has a new paintwork, new hood, and a new interior....nearly.... I said nearly, cause she has new door cards, new seats, new floor liner, but the dashboard not been touched.... I started to work on the wiring loom behind the dash, and the owner want me to replace the centre console as well,so i started to strip it ...ive seen the state of it and i thought i will repair it... continue soon...

I've still got a lot to do cause i need to get the car ready for MOT.Fit the engine back, bleed and adjust the brakes, check all lights, make sure everything is working and it will pass its MOT. First of all fit the engine back and get it run...,but there is a problem...the engine mounts are rusty and weak...i have to make a new pair of them... Lift the engine in: Everything works, ready to go to MOT station... It passed its Mot,after a good clean of the carburettor its running well, the car is ready to go home.... After spent 11 years in the barn is back on the road. See you later little car...
All welding done, lets paint the engine bay and spray the under body seal on it+ spray waxoil inside the chassis legs and the cross member. Here are the old bits..... The paintwork dried,so the suspension can be fitted again with new bushes, trunnions and brake parts.... New fuel line fitted... The engine and gearbox can go back, but i give them a good clean by steam wash before i fit them back. I will be back soon....
