We have to build a bonnet now. The original one was too far gone. Damaged, rusty, badly repaired. Decided to build a new one with only a few bits saved from the original. The paintwork was completed by Moorland Classics.
Its beautiful! The shell has gone home now and it will be fully rebuilt by the customer. Final pictures: More pictures of the work: Work completed, the shell has been transported to a body shop for a fresh coat of paint.
Unfortunately we couldn't complete the work on this vehicle, due to relocation of our workshop, and circumstances. :(
More pictures about the work: Lead loading here and there... Now its time to refit the engine frames. This time we had to replace the right hand side one, others were replaced before.
This project started with the engine restoration. Its a 2.0 litre petrol engine.
Removed the engine from the vehicle, and stripped it to see what we have to do to it. The paintwork completed, two tone paint, orange and silver. Not the original colour, customer's choice, and i really like it! The shell is ready to be lifted onto the chassis, and the reassembling began. We used a "small" crane to do the hard work. :) It worked :D Its time to fit all components and complete the work...
